On May 18, the winners (one lucky Wisconsin Historical Society Member and his or her immediate family*) will discover what life was really like living and working on a late 19th-century farm...to the extreme!
"Life on the Farm" is a hands-on experience open for all visitors to enjoy during Old World Wisconsin's regular season dates. The "Life on the Farm" Extreme Experience will offer the lucky winners an opportunity to participate in additional, "extremely" fun and family-friendly activities not offered on regular season days. On May 18, the winning family will spend a full day dressed in period apparel (just like our expert staff), prepare and enjoy a delicious 19th-century meal, and help with chores both inside and outside, including feeding the farm animals, and much more! Come prepared for fascinating historical chores in the woodshed, the barn, the chicken coop, the garden, and the front yard. By the end of the day, your "extreme" experience will have given you a real taste of what life was like as a late 19th-century farm family in the Upper Midwest!
