The Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson Legacy Committee promotes public understanding of the first woman justice and longest serving justice in Wisconsin history through projects like these:




  • Presenting a traveling exhibit for students and the public to learn about the longest serving and most influential justice in Wisconsin history and to be inspired to work in public service.


  • Maintaining a website and social media presence to facilitate sustained study of Chief Justice Abrahamson’s life and work and to communicate with the public about the committee’s events and projects. 



The Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson Legacy Committee members are : Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janine P. Geske and Attorneys Christine Bremer Muggli, Amy Bogost, and Benjamin Wagner.

Donations are made to the Wisconsin Historical Foundation and held in trust for committee projects promoting Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson’s legacy.

  • $2,500 - Business Partner - Fund the annual Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson award and support future leaders
  • $500 - Establish a Legacy - Support the traveling exhibit, website, and educational tools
